Some questions to ask your mold setters:
v How many mold clamps are required to safely secure a mold-half to its platen?
v How much should you torque the bolts?
v In how many ways can a mold be too small for a particular press?
v How do you know if the water flow through the mold is laminar or turbulent?
v How much flow is required to achieve turbulent flow?
Mold, machine, and personnel safety dictate that your set-up personnel know the answers to the first three questions. Cycle efficiency and stability (robustness) of the process could be compromised if they do not know the answers the last two questions.
