| Our memories of Dad and Mom are many.......... One of my
fondest are the times we staved as young children, on my mothers parents
farm, which was located outside of Ubiy. As growing children, we were both
curious, and full of mischief. I know we helped turn our parents and grandparents
hair a shade of gray. Here are some of the things we did; We chased the pigs out of their pig house and cleaned it up to play house in it. We took eggs from the chicken-coop to throw at the calves, to see who could hit them between the eyes. We put frogs in the drinking trough not knowing we could spook the horses when they came to drink!!! We took new born kittens away from their mother, and made a special brick house for them. However the mother cat always rescued them. In the huge barn, we walked the high beams and swung on a long rope from one end of the barn to the other, little realizing that we could have fallen and badly injured ourselves. We even tried to milk a cow with one of us holding the cows tail so it wouldn't swish in the other persons face.... Memories, sweet memories. |
