When John wrote home, each letter contained a dollar bill, to help the next one to come here. Ignatz Kubacki lost his first son, Stanley at age seventeen. Stanley was logging at one of the camps, when he became ill and died of diphtheria He was sent home for burial. The family opened the box. One of the children wanted to kiss her brother good-bye.
