	When my dad was a youngster in Europe, he accompanied his grandmother Kunegunda every where. He walked beside her, and she held his arm to steady herself on the path into town. She must have been a small woman to do this because my dad, when fully grown, had a slight frame. He was five foot six inches tall. As she walked beside her. she called him, her staff. This pleased him to assist her in this fashion, to shop, visit, and attend church. Aunt Wanda said my dad was grandmothers favorite. I don't know this for a fact, but I am sure he would have been very pleased to hear this. Dad was a deeply religious man. I can't recall him ever missing Mass.
