A Christmas Gift
One of the sweetest things I received over the years was a framed poem that Luann made for me and gave me on Christmas 1984 I treasure it for many reasons. It's beautifully made with love and care. It's sewn with light blue tread and the capital letters are all intermingled with pink roses. The poem reads as follows.
Our Mother

You are the mother I received
The day I wed your son,
And I just want to thank you Mom
For all the things that you have done.
You have given me a gracious man
With whom I share my life.
You are his lovely mother and
I his lucky wife.
You used to pat his little head,
And now I hold his hand
You raised in love a little boy
Then gave to me a man.

All the work Luann put into it was very appreciated, and the poem meant a lot to me and still does.
